I ordered a washing machine door lock (Model 6601ER1005A) from Mersey Spares. The delivery via Evri was left on the wrong floor, and I received no assistance or support. I had to take it up with evri and knock at all the floors to finally find the item.The lock was the correct model, but it didn’t fit my machine.
I contacted Mersey Spares multiple times about a return, but they did not respond for a long time. When they finally replied, they refused the return, citing that I had “attempted to fit it.”(I wouldn't have known the plastic part would be a bit elongated as it looked the same before trying to fit it.)
Other platforms, like eBay, have accepted returns for the same type of situation, so this experience highlights the lack of customer support and rigid policies at Mersey Spares.
Returning items is a headache and almost guaranteed to be impossible. There is no buyer protection, no phone number, and no human support. Their responses to complaints often shift blame rather than resolve the issue. This should be a red flag for potential buyers — proceed only if you are certain, as communication and support are minimal.

We would like to clarify that our delivery confirmation with GPS and photo of delivery to the door confirms that the item was successfully delivered to your designated address on the correct date.
Regarding the return of the item, you confirmed by email with pictures that you tried to fit the part, which resulted in damage. Clear damage that made the part not only used but fitted (unsuccesfully). As per our returns policy, returns will not be accepted for items that have been fitted or attempted fit. We do accept returns daily without issue, but we must adhere to our policy for the fairness of all our customers.
